摘要: Genital herpes simplex and zoster infections are common afflictions that associated with significant morbidity a decreased quality of life. Famciclovir (Famvir Novartis) is an orally administered prodrug the antiviral agent penciclovir. Its unique pharmacokinetic profile makes it efficacious convenient well-tolerated alternative to traditionally prescribed acyclovir. used for acute treatment suppressive therapy recurrent genital as well its debilitating comorbidities. allows patients manage or prevent symptoms thereby significantly improving their favorable safety make good choice elderly immunocompromised including those infected HIV.
