摘要: The elevated Icelandic transverse ridge extends between the shelves of East Greenland and Faeroe Islands. It is underlain by a three to four layered crust oceanic affinity which much thicker more variable than normal but does not resemble continental crust. thick accounts for elevation relative cross section. terminated at its south-eastern end an unusual type margin Iceland-Faeroe Ridge Block. Mid-Atlantic crosses otherwise aseismic Iceland, beneath anomalous low density mantle appears be pronounced ocean regions.
