摘要: Abstract High differential pressure drop is frequently required in the process line of electric power plants. However, cavitation produced by a high could damage pipe and pump blades. In these experiments, effects plate thickness for small-bore diameter (d) to (D) ratio ( β = d/D) orifice plates were evaluated 100 mm test section water flow calibration facility. Three size meters tested with 0.10, 0.15, 0.33 no bevel on throat. The number at inception was measured be 1.0 1.2 all experiments. Although occurred discharge coefficient affected only smallest bore 0.10) thickest tested, 7.0 or t/d 0.70 where t thickness. Thickness seemed influence 0.10 plate. But trends results not conclusive attributed edge sharpness.
