摘要: Fish traps were used to quantify the distribution and abundance of Lutjanidae Lethrinidae on reefs across central Great Barrier Reef. The assemblages fishes inshore distinctive from those midshelf outershelf reefs. There significantly fewer individuals all species examined displayed significant cross-shelf changes in abundance. These cross shelf due an absence or low a at one more locations, with many present only location continental shelf. genera Aprion, Lutjanus, Macolor, Symphorichthys, Symphorus, Gnathodentex, Gymnocranius, Lethrinus Monotaxis characteristic shallow waters less than 100 m. In contrast, Paracaesio, Pristipomoides Wattsia intermediate depths (100–200 m) deeper outer reef slope excess 200 m characterised by genus Etelis.
