摘要: The degree to which a split thickness skin graft (STSG) contracts after application its recipient bed is related in part the proportion of dermis harvested from donor site. Harvesting thicker grafts may produce better cosmetic results but result increased site morbidity. combination an autologous ultra thin with underlying non-autologous dermal component reduce secondary contraction without further increasing This study was aimed at assessing suitability two porcine derived biomaterials (Permacol and small intestinal submucosa, SIS) for use Sprague-Dawley rat model. Full wounds (1 cm(2)) were created rats grafted Permacol or SIS either as one-stage operation following 2-week-period vascularisation these matrices before second stage cover skin. Skin viability wound area assessed weekly intervals until 4 weeks application. Both able support overlying had no beneficial effect on this model compared alone.
