摘要: We aimed to assess the clinical usefulness of ADCs calculated from diffusion-weighted echo-planar MR images in characterization pediatric head and neck masses. This study included 78 patients (46 boys 32 girls aged 3 months–15 years, mean 6 years) with mass. Routine imaging were done on a 1.5-T unit using single-shot (EPI) b factor 0.500 1,000 s mm−2. The ADC value was calculated. values malignant tumours, benign solid masses cystic lesions (0.93 ± 0.18) × 10−3, (1.57 0.26) 10–3 (2.01 0.21 )× mm2 s−1, respectively. difference between tumours statistically significant (p < 0.001). When an apparent diffusion coefficient 1.25 s−1 used as threshold for differentiating mass, best results obtained accuracy 92.8%, sensitivity 94.4%, specificity 91.2%, positive predictive 91% negative 94.2%. Diffusion-weighted is new promising approach that can be
