摘要: Forty-seven spinal cords from subjects between 13 and 95 years of age have been examined; in the majority death occurred suddenly or rapidly a state previous good health. The limb motor neurons lumbospinal segments estimated by counting nucleoli characeteristic cells every fifth group 10 serial sections entire lumbosacral cord. No evidence exists loss up to 60 years, but beyond that age, although individual counts vary considerably, there is increasing diminishing neuron pupulation; above several cases showed only 50% early adult life middle age. Cell appeared be uniform throughout all was unaccompanied any other striking morphological change.
