摘要: Over the last 5 years foliar diseases had caused devastating damages in young plantations of Eucalyptus globulus Uruguay. The sustainability this species, most important country with more than 270,000 ha commercial plantations, depends on rapid development resistant genetic stock. variation resistance juvenile foliage to and onset adult were examined a field trial E. naturally infected by Mycosphaerella leaf disease (Mycosphaerella spp. Teratosphaeria spp.) rust (Puccinia psidii). material included 226 open pollinated seed lots from 16 provenances Australia, Chile Disease severity (% spots % defoliation) was assessed 8 months after planting precocity phase change foliage) at 20 months. Tree growth survival evaluated every 2 up ninth year. Differences significant among countries origin provenances. Within provenances, narrow-sense individual tree heritabilities for spot (0.37), defoliation (0.41) proportion (0.40) higher those obtained (0.19 0.33) similar (0.33 0.45). Genetic correlations between traits negative (−0.20 −0.44) also (−0.28 −0.51). There positive (0.34 0.41) (0.29 0.37). Our results demonstrate that selection low first year high second are feasible order obtain sites risk infection both rust.
