摘要: This paper explores the nexus between work-related training and labour market ‘flexibility’ (which we proxy by contract type, part-time employment lack of union coverage), using first five waves British Household Panel Survey (BHPS) conducted over period 1991–5. Our results show that workers on short-term contracts, who are working or not covered a collective agreement, significantly less likely to be involved in any improve increase their skills. These findings suggest there is trade-off expanding more marginal forms proportion work-force getting training.
