摘要: Plain silastic intrauterine devices or those containing 270 micrograms of indomethacin were inserted into the caudal portion one uterine horn mature Wistar rats. After a 3-week period animals fixed by perfusion on morning day 2 after estrus. Segments tissue corresponding to regions adjacent and cranial as well an equivalent contralateral embedded in glycol methacrylate. A group control without any form device treated identical manner. Sections cut from these segments evaluated grid-point stereology ascertain changes volumes cell populations. It was found that presence plain induced hypertrophy stroma myometrium uterus device. The such prevented stromal hypertrophy. No populations fibroblasts areas glandular vascular evident treatment group. Cell neutrophils, eosinophils, mononuclear cells, however, elevated superficial horns bearing either type device; this feature more pronounced for neutrophils devices. Neutrophils, rather than predominated epithelia IUD. Conversely, eosinophil reduced tissues delivering indomethacin. Neutrophils cells also be deep both medicated
