摘要: The effect of an intralamellar membrane on the epithelium was studied biochemically and bistologically. Metabolite levels in corneal were determined by enzymatic optical tests after freezing vivo. After 1 week, barrier resulted a reduction glucose, glycogen, adenosine triphosphate levels, but did not affect lactate, pyruvate, diphosphate or monophosphate levels. Histochemically, PAS reaction showed reduced glycogen central before other clinical histological changes seen. Neither tarsorrhaphy nor topical application glucose solution TC 199 could prevent this effect. If had hole, over hole remained normal content structure. These results indicate that main source energy for epithelial metabolism is aqueous humor.
