摘要: The SEAChange programme, instituted in 2007 under the auspices of South African Network for Coastal and Oceanic Research (SANCOR), included four interdependent research themes, one which was Marine Biotechnology. biotechnology is a discipline that involves both basic applied research, aimed at commercial exploitation marine organisms. This paper reviews progress made three key areas programme over first five years, namely aquaculture, omics organisms bioprospecting, discusses these accomplishments context to internationally.
