摘要: A multi-step signing system and method uses multiple devices (11, 13, 15, 17, 19) to affix a single signature which can be verified using public verification key. Each device possesses share of the key affixes partial in response authorization from plurality authorizing agents (23, 25, 27, 29, 31). In serial embodiment, after first has been affixed, second exponentiates signature. parallel each signature, signatures are multiplied together form final Security is enhanced by distributing capability among authority agents.
