Public awareness of circular economy in southern Poland: Case of the Malopolska region

摘要: Abstract In the transition to circular economy (CE) model in Europe, increasing public awareness is one of major driving forces. This paper presents results an evaluation and attitudes about CE Malopolska region southern Poland. The data used this study was collected by random distribution questionnaires interviews with 430 respondents. chosen for research because has significant economic social potential, but features serious environmental problems – primarily air pollution. As protection become important aspect regional local policy, concept already begun be promoted. distributed residents were divided into three areas: (1) knowledge CE, (2) CE-related behaviour, (3) future development region. show that well recognized mainly younger generation, which more familiar behaviours like waste segregation buying recycled remanufactured goods. findings additionally indicate sharing collaborative practices are becoming popular among due belief such services create economic, environmental, benefits users. People's also a positive correlation their educational level, individuals believing could, future, implemented However, requires time additional resources.
