摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes structure, differential action, and medical application. In general, interferon-beta (IFN-β) is the main subtype made by fibroblasts epithelial cells, that is, cells from solid tissues, whereas IFN-αs are more efficiently induced in blood leukocytes. IFN-β produced human response to viruses or double stranded (ds) RNA inducers a protein antigenically distinct other group of type I Interferons, IFN-α subtypes. The entire aminoacid sequence mature deduced cDNA comprises 166 amino acids preceded 21 signal peptide residues, about 30% homologous richer hydrophobic residues than IFN-α. confirmed sequencing natural fibroblast IFN. Another application IFN-P has been palliative treatment malignant pleural effusions for which intracavitary injections IFN-P, 5-20 MIU, was reported be beneficiary. Response rates 68% were recorded mainly patients with large effusion volumes.
