摘要: OBJECTIVES—To examine the proportions of type 1 and 2 muscle fibres degree fibre atrophy hypertrophy in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome relation to lactate responses exercise, determine what extent any abnormalities found might be due inactivity. METHODS—Quadriceps needle biopsies were obtained from 105 factors determined histochemical preparations, using a semiautomated image analysis system. Forty one randomly selected also examined by electron microscopy. Lactate exercise measured subanaerobic threshold test (SATET). RESULTS—Inactivity would expected result shift predominance atrophy, but (23%) was more common than (3%), only 10.4% cases. Patients increased did have significantly fewer (p<0.043 males, p<0.0003 females), there no evidence that this group less active normal responses. No significant ultrastructural found. CONCLUSION—Muscle histometry generally not show changes as inactivity. However, abnormal had lower proportion mitochondria rich fibres.
