摘要: The orientations of European prehistoric structures have been studied independently by landscape archaeologists and archaeoastronomers. Despite their similar interests, the two fields failed to converge primarily because differing epistemologies. This paper argues that archaeology has much gain integrating provide a fuller more balanced exploration understanding location orientation megaliths. It is suggested archaeoastronomy needs become grounded on archaeological record context it studies. If generate knowledge value “skyscape archaeology.” looks at current archaeoastronomical approaches through lens practice. identifies some limitations discusses how can inform overcoming them.
