摘要: Millions of intravascular catheters are purchased each year by hospitals and clinics, placing many patients at risk for serious catheter-related infections. This chapter summarizes the rapidly expanding body literature concerning prevention infections in hope reducing posed to present future patients. Prophylaxis with vancomycin or teicoplanin during central venous catheter insertion does not reduce incidence bloodstream infection. The addition prophylactic flush solutions total parenteral nutrition significantly reduces infection; however, use systemic antimicrobial agents prevent is recommended. Administering very low doses warfarin thrombosis due long-term catheters. Use heparin bolus infusion when it added intravenous Prophylactic pulmonary artery A number different strategies can be used
