Individual differences in attributional style: the relational influence of self-efficacy, self-esteem, and sex role identity

摘要: The purpose of this study was to expand on achievement attribution research by investigating the relationship between individual differences in attributional styles for success and failure sex, self-efficacy, self-esteem, sex role identity. A sample 163 undergraduate students at a large midwestern university completed test packet containing Attributional Style Questionnaire, Self-Efficacy Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Bem Sex Role Inventory. Multiple correlation regression analyses were used analyze their responses. Results indicated that masculinity self-esteem important prediction adaptive attributions women men, however, femininity had little with attributions. Masculinity best unique predictor failure. In addition, better occurred than implications these findings are discussed recommendations future made.
