摘要: Abstract On average, Taiwan is subjected to three or four typhoon invasions each year. As a approaches, strong ocean waves from the sea, which are accompanied by flash floods on land, can considerably change morphology of estuaries. Thus, knowing effect typhoons important for coastal management. This study uses simulations and field surveys analyze processes sediment transport near Beinan Estuary in southeastern Taiwan. A model that based Eulerian Lagrangian methods used simulate fluvial flows, waves, currents. Typhoons various intensities, different types hydrographs, seasonal effects their bathymetry. The relationships among sediments, wave loads, evolution estuary derived results. results indicate governed events process erosion, transport, deposition short. amount sediments required cause changes determined these results, this estimate be erosion protection future.
