摘要: We present experimental evidence for the ion-cyclotron resonant-heating (ICRH) induced trapping of ions in edge-mirror fields a magnetically confined plasma. Relative changes edge-plasma density have been monitored an end cell Phaedrus-B Tandem Mirror (Breun R A et al 1981 Phys. Rev. Lett. 47 1833 - 6; Ferron J 1983 51 1955) via use electron cyclotron emission from hot-edge population created by application resonant heating. Edge-plasma dependence upon ICRH left-circularly-polarized electric field and on edge-neutral were found to be consistent with edge rf-trapping model. linear correlation is observed between change trapped applied . Furthermore, it demonstrated that cold (less than 7 eV) born atomic processes operating at or near plasma are dominant species participating process. The results obtained shown applicable any device mirror-like closed particle orbits edge.
