摘要: Background & Objectives: Undiagnosed and mismanaged tuberculosis (TB) continues to fuel the global epidemic. Rapid, accurate early diagnosis of is a major health concern especially in developing country like India. It important develop rapid, sensitive specific test (i.e. Polymerase chain reaction; PCR) for because conventional methods Ziehl-Neelsen (ZN) smear, lack sensitivity specificity, cultures on Lowenstein-Jensen (LJ) media time consuming cumbersome techniques. Current study evaluates significance In house PCR with commercially available multiplex kit (IS6110 MPB64 gene targets) clinical M. samples. Methods: The performance In-House detection MPB 64 target) was compared M.tuberculosis (Seeplex R MTB ACE Detection Kit; www. Seegene.com). Fifty samples were processed ZN culture LJ PCR.Results: Overall combined positivity both (In House kit) observed 76% (38/50) 70.7% (29/50) smear negative (S -ve ), (C ) extra-pulmonary No significant difference between rate (p = 0.832; χ 2 =0.045). However (6%) (14%) very low paucibacillary samples.Interpretation Conclusion: evaluated rapid particularly negatives.
