摘要: Introduction: Currently, and in a competitive context, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) increasingly depend on the quality of their services, not only to satisfy different stakeholders, but also attract funding. In this way, HEIs tend incorporate Internal Quality Management Systems (IQMS) into strategy with view continuous improvement performance. This work intends analyze applicability an HEI, based European Foundation for (EFQM) model, through its implementation public Portuguese HEI. Objectives: Contribute critical analysis IQMS organizational performance EFQM implemented published HEI. Methods: A number advantages difficulties were obtained. For obtained, it was proposed set suggestions overcoming. Results: overcoming. Conclusions: The application SIGQ HEI under study, proved be beneficial, due perceived advantages, among them, increase efficiency. each one disadvantages identified solutions mitigation, thus allowing reinforce potential applying model HEI.
