摘要: Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), the third gasotransmitter, is endogenously generated by certain H2S synthesizing enzymes, including cystathionine-γ-lyase (CSE) and cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS) from L-cysteine in mammalian body. Several studies have shown that endogenous exogenous affects proliferation of cancer cells, although effects appear to vary with cell type, being either promotive or suppressive. In present study, we determined whether formed regulates human gastric AGS cells. CSE, but not CBS, was expressed CSE inhibitors, DL-propargylglycine (PPG) β-cyano-L-alanine (BCA), significantly suppressed cells a concentration-dependent manner. inhibitors did increase lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release same concentration range. The inhibitory PPG BCA on were reversed repetitive application NaHS, donor H2S. Interestingly, nuclear condensation fragmentation detected treated BCA. These results suggest produced may contribute most probably through anti-apoptotic actions.
