摘要: Summary 1. A saturation assay for serum thyroxine is described with particular reference to the attainment of highest sensitivity and precision. The technique provides an illustration application theoretical precepts put forward by Ekins, Newman O'Riordan relating choice optimum reagent concentrations in all systems, including radioimmunoassays, competitive protein binding assays and, slight modification, radioenzymic assays. 2. Ion exchange resin charcoal techniques sequestration free from bound moieties are sensitivities attained each system compared. Highest date has been achieved method ; under normal routine conditions minimum detectable concentration incubation mixtures about 70 pg/ml, corresponding roughly 0.5 ng/ml serum. 3. use clinical diagnosis exemplified presentation ranges euthyroid adults, pregnant women on oral contraceptives, measurement response exogenous thyroidstimulating hormone tri-iodothyronine.
