摘要: Modern sleep research studies have provided the practicing physician with considerable new information concerning basic psychophysiology of sleep, effects medical conditions on and role maturational emotional factors in producing certain disorders. Medical psychiatric disorders, disorders drug-induced stage alterations are studied laboratory using same techniques developed to analyze patterns normal subjects. After initial adaptation, a profile characteristics various clinical is obtained. This can be compared profiles subjects as well subsequent experimental or therapeutic procedures. Various shown that coronary artery, duodenal ulcer nocturnal headache patients experience angina, increased gastric acid secretion migraine cluster headaches, respectively during REM sleep. Adult asthamtic episodes occur out all stages while attacks dyspnea asthmatic children except 4 Hypothyroid show decreases 3 hyperthyroid percentage time spent markedly increased. Enuretic predominantly non-rapid eye movement (NREM) Sleepwalking night terror exclusively NREM particularly from Most child somnambulists terrors "outgrow" this disorder, suggesting delayed maturation central nervous system. Stimulant drugs effective treatment narcolepsy treating cases hypersomnia, imipramine an for auxillary symptoms narcolepsy. Psychological disturbances frequent adult somnambulism hypersomnia insomnia. Proper pharmacologic provide symptomatic relief insomnia recommended enhance psychotherapeutic process. Language: en
