摘要: In the mangrove surrounding coastal lagoon of La Mancha, Veracruz, Mexico, we studied litter fall, standing crop, and turnover rates in four different settings, based on ecological classification Lugo Snedaker (1974). We those three prominent processes at basin, fringe riverine being last one a relict stand. The aim was to describe compare dynamics among types with an ephemeral inlet, as way understanding functional heterogeneity within this ecosystem. daily average values fall were (P < 0.01) site basin I, formed by Avicennia germinans Rhizophora mangle (2.35 g/m2/day); II, Laguncularia racemosa, germinans, (2.93 (2.13 relic riverine, also R. (4.70 g/m2/day). amount crop sites 0.001), between dry rainy season, for each type 0.001). Turnover ratios higher I II (6.34 7.44 times per year) than mangroves (1.49 2.39 year). Interstitial salinity sediment nutrients varied could influence production. Since has continuous inundation throughout 7–8 months year important effect dynamics.
