摘要: In this work, we examine the ability of dipole modifiers, flavonoids, and RH dyes to affect potential (φ d) phase separation in membranes composed ternary mixtures POPC with different sphingolipids sterols. Changes steady-state conductance induced by cation-ionophore complexes have been measured evaluate changes planar lipid bilayers. Confocal fluorescence microscopy has employed investigate segregation giant unilamellar vesicles. The effects flavonoids on φ d depend composition modifier type. effectiveness increase depends sphingolipid type but is not influenced sterol content. Tested modifiers lead partial or complete disruption gel domains bilayers POPC, sphingomyelin, cholesterol. Substitution cholesterol ergosterol 7-dehydrocholesterol leads a loss fluidizing except phloretin. This may be due various compositions domains. lack influence scenario vesicles cholesterol, phytosphingosine sphinganine related an absence gel-like phase. It was concluded that membrane lateral heterogeneity affects dipole-modifying abilities agents magnitude intercalation into bilayer orientation its own large moments (phloretin dyes). efficacy do penetrate deeply through water adsorption (phlorizin, quercetin, myricetin) membrane.
