摘要: Gene therapy, genetically modified organisms, and the privacy of an individual's genetic information are just a few developments emerging from recent advances in molecular genetics that controversial. Oversight regulation technologies responsibility both experts general public who need to understand science societal impact its use. The study ethical, legal, social implications (ELSI) provides very powerful pedagogical tool accomplish two goals. These are, first all, interest nonscientists engage them learning behind ELSI they considering, secondly, broaden perspective students consider history consequences studying. resources strategies presented this chapter for teaching issues arise modern designed aid accomplishing these goals throughout undergraduate curriculum.
