摘要: Seventy isolates of Helicobacter pylori from antral biopsy samples were tested for their susceptibilities to metronidazole by agar dilution. Seven (10%) these clinical appeared be resistant metronidazole. Sixty-three strains susceptible. In 42 (67%) the 63 susceptible isolates, obtained serial passage on plates containing subinhibitory concentrations 10 strains, acquired resistance unstable. The difference between stability that occurred after one or two passages and three was statistically significant (P < 0.006). Primary in a stable phenomenon. Whether emerges during therapy patients is unstable needs established.
