Quantum noise in reversible soliton logic

摘要: Reversible logic gates using soliton collisions were recently demonstrated. These are of interest as an example non-dissipative switching. We show that these unusually susceptible to quantum noise or vacuum fluctuation effects. In fact, with typical experimental parameters we predict error approaching 50% after just 200 operations, entirely due intrinsic noise.
