摘要: Mathematics educators recognize the impact of students' attitudes, beliefs, and views about mathematics on their learning use mathematics. A reform goal is for students to develop a productive mathematical disposition, one that reflects disposition professional mathematicians. This may not be most appropriate model students, other dispositions possible productive. ethnographic study investigated engineers. Structural engineers in two firms were observed everyday practice. Observation interview data analyzed elucidate role solving engineering problems engineers' perceptions status relative resources constraints. The phenomenon "engineering judgment" was found shape work render disposition-of "skeptical reverence"-distinct from currently developed schools.
