摘要: PURPOSE In a series of 78 consecutive patients we analyzed the influence peritumoral edema (PTE) and angiogenesis (vascular endothelial growth factor/ VEGF expression) on prognosis morbidity postoperative complications after intracranial meningioma surgery. METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed clinical, neuroradiological histological data microsurgically treated with supratentorial meningioma, follow-up period at least one year. RESULTS The severity PTE showed significant correlation expression, all large (>40 mm) had strong expression (>50%). Treatment outcome significantly better in low (p<0.05). All monitored were more frequent group PTE.The duration intensive care treatment (mean 6.85 days) longer than without 3.68 (p=0.003). PTE, (p<0.01). CONCLUSION meningiomas has surgically terms increased risk complications. is strongly correlated formation, which also affects management meningioma.
