摘要: Abstract The linear, large‐scale and small‐scale amplification effects in the Mexico City valley, related to both surficial clay layer underlying thick sediments, are investigated with two‐dimensional (2D) models compared results of simple one‐dimensional (1D) models. deep sediments shown be responsible, on their own, for an ranging between 3 7, a part which is due 2D case low damping velocity gradient. This result consistent observed relative around 0.5 Hz at CU stations respect TACY station. much larger (above 10), corresponding have very peculiar characteristics. On one hand, local surface waves generated any lateral heterogeneity exhibit strong spatial decay, even (2%), motion given site therefore affected only by heterogeneities lying within radius smaller than 1 k...
