摘要: Purpose of this paper: During the recent 10-15 years, Computer Aided Process Planning and Die Design evolved as one most important engineering tools in sheet metal forming, particularly automotive industry. This emerging role is strongly emphasized by rapid development Finite Element Modelling, well. The purpose paper to give a general overview about achievements very field forming introduce some special results activity. Design/methodology/approach: Concerning CAE activities there are two main approaches: them may be regarded knowledge based process planning, whilst other simulation planning. author attempts integrate these separate developments approach linking commercial CAD FEM systems. Findings: Applying above more powerful efficient planning die design solution can achieved radically reducing time cost product cycle improving quality. Research limitations: Due different modelling approaches systems, biggest challenge enhance robustness data exchange capabilities between various systems provide an even streamlined information flow. Practical implications: proposed integrated solutions have great practical importance improve global competitiveness segment Originality/value: concept described specific value both for engineers.
