摘要: Abstract Four recombinant antigens representing two distinct antigenic domains from different strains of hepatitis E virus (HEV) were used individually to develop four ELISAs designed detect antibodies HEV. Both IgG and IgM class HEV detected in 7 8 pedigreed serum/plasma known outbreaks Mexico, Burma, Somalia Pakistan. In addition, specific HEV-antibodies cynomolgus macaques following inoculation with various strains. Anti-HEV was also 386 (2.1%) randomly selected American blood donors. Supplemental tests utilizing both synthetic peptides blocking assays provided additional serologic data confirming the presence anti-HEV. Similar prevalence studies on a limited number available sera other geographical regions (Alaska, Japan, Germany, New Zealand, Thailand Mexico) confirmed anti-HEV at least 1.1 7.6% specimens.
