摘要: The epidemiological data suggest that the incidence and prevalence of serious mycoses continues to be a public health problem. increased use antifungal agents has resulted in development resistance these drugs. spread multidrug-resistant strains fungus reduced number drugs available make it necessary discover new classes antifungals from natural products including medicinal plants. Historically, herbs spices have enjoyed rich tradition for their properties provide unlimited opportunities drug leads because huge chemical diversity. Assays bioactive compounds been reported with good vitro or vivo. It is almost impossible discuss various characteristics plants such as mode action extraction active single review. Therefore, we focussed here mainly on plant extracts, against pathogeinc resistant fungi. phenolics, terpenoids, saponins, alkaloids, etc., are discussed detail. emerging proteins peptides also reviewed briefly. In this chapter, describe technical aspects related methodology screening identification compounds. regarding reliable extraction, screening, bioautography, pure crude extracts fractions here.
