摘要: Current mobile devices such as phones and PDAs are able to run applications that can demand a considerable storage space. When these out of local memory, they require backing up their files in an external device, which could restrict the user mobility. This paper presents Adaptive File Transfer Middleware (AFTM) for applications. middleware eases transfer between device server by accessing best wireless connection (WiFi, GPRS/UMTS) available, considering quality cost service. AFTM is also use Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) another option transferring files. A Backup (FBS) was built on top AFTM. The FBS will detect when ran memory automatically send selected from server, freeing memory. To decide should be backed up, implements several file replacement policies. Results showed selection one policy trade-off efficiency algorithm service available needs up.
