摘要: Owing in large part to the foresight and efforts of Wally Welker, National Museum Health Medicine has become a major repository for collections brain specimens vital study neurobehavioral evolution. From its origins Armed Forces Institute Pathology, with collection largely pathological assembled by Paul Yakovlev, museum added resources four additional extensive collections, consisting acquired specifically comparative evolutionary studies: Welker's from University Wisconsin-Madison, John I. Johnson's Michigan State University, Adolf Meyer Collection Johns Hopkins Elizabeth Crosby Michigan. We describe here history contents each these five inform scientific field extent details remarkable resources.
