摘要: Abstract An assessment of the current state bacterial inoculants for contemporary agriculture in developed and developing countries is critically evaluated from point view their actual status future use. Special emphasis given to two new concepts inoculation, as yet unavailable commercially: (i) synthetic under development plant-growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) (Bashan Holguin, 1998), (ii) inoculation by groups associated bacteria. This review contains: A brief historical overview inoculants; rationale plant with on semiarid agriculture, concept application mixed inoculant; discussion microbial formulation including optimization carrier-compound characteristics, types existing carriers inoculants, traditional formulations, trends formulations using unconventional materials, encapsulated macro micro alginate, encapsulation beneficial other regulation contamination commercial examples modern a consideration time constraints methods production, marketing, prospects agriculture.
