摘要: Abstract The monocot tree Dracaena draco L. is famous for the production of a red resin referred to as dragon’s blood. This has been used in traditional medicine since ancient times by many cultures. Dragon’s blood chemistry well described, however, data concerning its secretion and distribution following injury still fragmentary, although it can help sourcing. goal study was characterize first time anatomical status secretory tissue responsible storage. carried out with hand sections thin an Epon-embedded samples collected from cut wounded stem 5-year-old D. plants. two tissues differ terms location morphology. These are (a) groups ground parenchyma cells both primary secondary origin, (b) cortex containing polyphenolic-like inclusions. Following wounding stem, secrete form barrier zone that isolates injured tissues. depth influences
