THE OCCURENCE OF SMALL MAMMALS IN DISCARDED BOTTLES

摘要: Summary It has been found that discarded bottles often contain the remains of small mammals. The phenomenon is widespread occurrence in British Isles and involves at least ten species. Mammals appear to be trapped because their differential abilities enter exit through neck. Entry probably response feeding or exploratory drives, prevented by a number different factors. While shrews tend occur all bottle sizes, rodents are more those with wider necks. The practice examining indicated as an important tool collection mammal distribution records.
