摘要: Alterations in hepatic metabolism of S-amino acids were monitored over one week male rats treated with a single dose ethanol (3 g/kg, ip). Methionine and S-adenosylhomocysteine concentrations increased rapidly, but S-adenosylmethionine, cysteine, glutathione (GSH) decreased following administration. Activities methionine adenosyltransferase, cystathionine γ-lyase β-synthase all inhibited. γ-Glutamylcysteine synthetase activity was from t = 8 hr, GSH level did not return to control for 24 hr. Hepatic hypotaurine taurine levels elevated immediately, reduced below 18 Changes serum urinary consistent results observed liver. Cysteine dioxygenase declined The show that induces profound changes acid metabolism, some which persist several days. Ethanol only inhibits the cysteine synthesis suppresses availability further by enhancing its irreversible catabolism taurine, would play significant role depletion GSH.
