摘要: Abstract Objective: To investigate differences in characteristics of patients with endometriosis the United States and Kingdom. Design: Patient questionnaire. Setting: Two university-based referral centers. Patient(s): Women surgically diagnosed endometriosis. Intervention(s): None. Main Outcome Measure(s): demographics, menstrual obstetric history, contraceptive use, medical risk factors, family diagnosis, current pain status treatment. Result(s): Most demographic were similar between groups. However, at a younger age than Kingdom (25.6 ± 6.7 years vs. 28.0 7.1 years) more commonly presented an ovarian mass. More U.K. women used oral contraceptives before diagnosis first use. underwent fewer additional surgeries U.S. but reported that surgery alone provided best relief symptoms, whereas most surgical therapy together symptoms. Conclusion(s): The many similarities demographics symptoms among support universality disease process. Despite variety treatments, from both groups still experienced their time survey.
