摘要: Pathogenic microorganisms have been constantly evolving to battle the various responses elicited by host upon their invasion. Candida albicans bears no exception this trend. It is not only a fitter pathogen but also successful gut commensal in humans. The extraordinary genome plasticity of C. makes its survival possible such widely diverse niches. This chapter focuses on chromosomal elements that are involved maintaining dynamics and stability albicans. Here, we discuss molecular players basic cellular processes lead duplication chromosomes, faithful segregation progeny, chromosome maintenance related species.
