摘要: BOVIGAM which is based on the detection of gamma interferon (IFN- gamma) a rapid, laboratory assay cell mediated immune response that may be used for tuberculosis (TB) infection in animals. Whole blood first incubated overnight with bovine PPD, avian PPD or negative control antigens, and IFN- supernatant plasma then measured by EIA. TB indicated predominant to PPD. Since 1988, has been extensively trialed more than 200 000 cattle Australia, Brazil, Ireland, Northern Italy, New Zealand, Romania, Spain USA. Sensitivity varied between 81.8% 100% culture-confirmed specificity 94% 100%. The detects M. bovis earlier skin test Zealand applied detect skin-test TB, where after slaughter significant number reactors have TB. also approved serial testing positive when non-specificity suspected. Cattle are tested 7-30 days caudal fold test. boosting effect T-cell activity allows cultured up 30 h collection without effecting accuracy. results not affected poor nutritional condition only mildly briefly dexamethasone treatment parturition. responses vaccinated BCG dose-dependent short-lived. kit now routinely many countries infected cattle, buffalo goats.
