摘要: It is well known that rising anthropogenic underwater noise has chronic impacts on marine fauna. Since the contribution of navigation particularly important to this kind noise, areas near big harbors can be critically affected. One case great environmental concern Port Santos, largest harbor in Latin America that, additionally, expected expanded. The port located brazilian southeast coast, a region with rich biodiversity including mammals, close two conservation areas. Although evaluating ship area true concern, there little information available topic nowadays. In context, present work aims assess magnitude delimited geographical around Santos harbor. For purpose, Sound Pressure Level (SPL), Exposure (SEL), and Power Spectral Density (PSD) were calculated. SPL SEL similar levels reported from other studied regions, reaching values could interfere some species. Results show vessels major contributor ambient assessed.
