摘要: Advances in molecular methods have massively facilitated the discovery of potential targets for gene-specific therapy. Accelerated lead has at same time generated a massive demand thorough validation such putative targets. Very often human tissue analysis is needed this purpose. However, need to analyse large numbers well-characterized tissues constitutes major bottleneck drug and development. Traditional slide-by-slide manner slow, expensive difficult standardize. In addition, precious specimens, as samples from clinical studies, are usually exhausted after few analyses. The microarray technology overcomes these shortcomings it allows simultaneous up 1,000 minute single experiment. This article will review how high-throughput analyses can dramatically facilitate translational research several different levels.
