摘要: Artisanal dimension stone (i.e., blocks cut and shaped from natural rock using hand tools) has attracted scholarly attention as part of the informal sector construction industry productive enterprise artisans. One areas that intrigue scholars in this respect is market environment subject product. In Nairobi, for instance, researchers have adopted a qualitative approach to study artisanal stone. We build on outcomes previous studies present quantitative factors influencing Kenya by developing identified past into 24 measurable variables are then subjected factor analysis identify gauge principal components. The identifies five components influence environment: difficult marketing terrain, general lack specification building professionals formal developers, occasional professionals, cumbersome procurement system, advantages provided use building. These include both negative positive factors, although forces tend dominate, resulting an inhibitive rather than facilitative environment. Recommendations made address situation, including recommendations association with Communities Small-Scale Mining (CASM) (a mining advocacy organisation) or similar institution formation cooperative producing units help formalisation their transactions.
