摘要: BACKGROUND Endometrial cancer (EC) mortality is particularly high among non-Hispanic Blacks and twice that of Whites. However, comparisons EC survival outcomes by race/ethnicity are often confounded histology grade. Here, we analyze disparities in multiracial Florida with a focus on types (1 2) subtypes, defined according to METHODS All 27,809 cases diagnosed during 2005-2016 were obtained from the Cancer Registry. Age-standardized, 5-year cause-specific histological type calculated. Fine Gray competing risk regression was used estimate sub-distribution hazard ratios (sHRs) for associations between death due potential predictive factors such as histology/grade, age, stage at diagnosis, insurance. RESULTS Type 2 accounted only 38.7% all incident EC-cases but 74.6% EC-deaths. disproportionately affected (57.6%) compared Whites, Hispanics, Asians (35.6%, 37.7%, 43.0%, respectively). Age-adjusted 1 85.3% 51.6%, respectively; however, there wide variation within ranging 60.2% mixed cell low 30.1% carcinosarcoma. In multivariable model, had 23% higher (sHR: 1.23, 95%CI: 1.12-1.36) CONCLUSIONS Population-based analyses should consider heterogeneity because less common drives racial/ethnic EC. Black women have proportion more aggressive an overall than To extent some these may be considered different diseases require specific treatment approaches, further research etiology prognosis detailed subtypes warranted.
